Weekend With the Kids
Last weekend we were able to keep the kiddos over night over the weekend. We had a great time and kept busy. Saturday, Hanna and I went to a Christmas Boutique to sell my cards. She is a social butterfly and found herself making crafts with a few other girls her age. I thoroughly enjoyed the bonding time with her! After that, we came home and all four of us went to the park while Kody enjoyed a quick nap.
The kids LOVE the park by our house and probably could live there! They befriended a little boy there and played tag for about an hour. We then went back home to get Kody and go to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. We went to Farmer Brown's (I think...) to the pumpkin patch and picked our 'prize' pumpkins to carve during the BSU game. The corn maze was a little on the spendy side, so we left; however, on the way home, we ran across a BSU corn maze that was half the price...so we went there. That maze was cool because there were 12 land marks to look for. At those landmarks were punch cards for the 'map' they give you at the gate. The maze was shaped like BSU football and basketball, so the kids thought it would be appropriate to go through that on game day. (:

Yard Update
Recently we had 10 yards of dirt dumped in the driveway ready to move to the backyard. We have now graduated to phase two in the berm building. Thanks to the Walgren's for letting us use their truck for the tiller (which we used as our prep), and thanks to Kody's work friend for letting us use the Dingo. I cannot imaging how my hands and back would have felt had we used a wheelbarrow for all the dirt. We have now raised all the sprinklers along the fence and house, and are working on putting in the vent drain protector 'things' before we level out the dirt. We are also looking for a good deal on railroad ties to put along the fence so the fence does not rot out so easily. After that, we will level the dirt to our liking and wait for the spring. :) Asha loves the new addition!
